Before attending college, Scott Richert worked in the construction industry as a General Building Contractor. In that capacity, he was involved primarily with residential construction and smaller commercial projects throughout Northern California.  He then attended the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa (top honors) in 1984 with a degree in Political Science.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 1987 and was admitted to the California Bar the same year. 

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Richert was a franchisee with a major, national fast food restaurant chain for 14 years.  During that time, he also lobbied in Washington D.C. for a variety of interests affecting franchisees and small business owners of all types.

Mr. Richert's practice focuses on real estate, construction and a wide variety of business matters involving transactions and litigation.  He represents real estate agents and firms, contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers and a diverse number of property owners, business owners and franchisees.  In addition, he handles serious injury cases, having resolved by verdict or settlement wrongful death claims, major collision suits, premises liability actions and a variety of other cases involving severe injuries.
